Dinner with an Optometry Student
Want to know the inside scoop of the life as an optometry student? Each year we invite Waterloo optometry students for a dinner with our club members to answer any questions you may have about course loads, admissions, social life, and etc.

School Presentations
Several optometry schools to give presentations about the schools they represent. While the main focus of these presentations is the application and interview processes, they are very informative about each school’s extracurricular activities, research opportunities, financial services, and the cities where the schools are located. Most speakers are from the admissions departments of the schools and are knowledgeable with the recruitment process, school dynamic, and student life.

Volunteer Events
Stay tuned for volunteer events with other UWO pre-optometry club members and optometry-related volunteer openings within the London community. Past opportunities include being a vision screener at the iSee Vision Program and a morning baking session at the Ronald McDonald House.

O-A-Tea and Prerequisities Night
Join us while we discuss the breakdown of the OAT and don't forget to participate in our mini-CASPer mock session! Pre-optometry club execs and members share past experiences of what to expect during the OAT and ways to prepare for the test. Our prerequisites night is perfect for members who are planning to apply to optometry school and want to learn about courses at Western that would satisfy the prerequisites for American and Canadian optometry schools.
